Boroughs Australia is seeking a Senior Tax Consultant to join our collaborative, high-performing team in Sydney. This role offers 100% advisory work and the chance to develop technical expertise while collaborating with Directors, Managers and clients.

You will work across a broad range of tax matters, mentored by Managers, and contribute to tax governance and strategic planning for a diverse client base. This is an opportunity to advance a tax advisory career in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant tax experience, including advisory exposure.
• Experience with private clients and privately owned businesses.
• Exposure to tax consolidation and international tax.
• Strong technical research, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research into tax legislation, case law and ATO guidance.
• Advise on a broad range of tax matters, including income tax, GST, international tax, corporate tax, NSW land tax, payroll tax and stamp duty.
• Provide advice on business restructures, succession planning and other strategic tax matters.
• Liaise with the ATO and external stakeholders regarding audits, reviews, PBRs and tax governance frameworks.
• Assist with the preparation of written tax advice, including letters and client correspondence.
• Provide tax advisory support to other firm members on IDS reviews and complex queries.
• Keep up to date with changes across the tax landscape.
• Mentor junior team members and conduct internal training sessions.
• Participate in ongoing technical training across tax, accounting and succession.
