Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Australian taxation.
• Strong working knowledge of Australian Tax Law.
• Experience reviewing tax returns, including Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) returns.
• Proficiency in Xero.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and tax technical capability.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Australian tax legislation and ATO standards.
• Provide technical tax support and guidance to junior and intermediate accountants.

Are you an experienced Tax Accountant looking to step into a senior role where you can take ownership, provide expert guidance, and support a high-performing accounting team? We are seeking a skilled and confident Senior Tax Accountant to join our firm and play a key role in elevating the quality and accuracy of our tax work.

About the Role

In this hands-on and review-focused position, you will oversee the quality of all tax returns prepared by our team including SMSF, individual, company, trust, and partnership return. You will act as a subject-matter expert, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and adherence to current Australian tax law.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring, reviewing complex work, and providing technical tax support across the practice. The position is available in a full-time or flexible part-time option (minimum 3 days per week). You will be based on-site located at Warriewood where there is secure parking, close to both local and major shops and services.
