Job summary

Downer is seeking a Senior Systems Security Engineer to join the Coalition Networks team in Canberra. You will deliver secure coalition systems and Defence network integration projects, supporting ACP240 and Federated Mission Network architectures.

You will apply data-centric security, zero trust, and systems architecture expertise to work with national and international stakeholders, manage risks, and ensure accreditation and testing activities align with Defence requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience applying Data Centric Security and Zero Trust frameworks within complex Defence, national security or coalition environments.
• Proven contributions to coalition capability development with national and international stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of Wintel, networking, cyber security, accreditation requirements and systems architecture.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialised technical advice on Data Centric Security, Zero Trust, systems architecture, networking and cyber security accreditation.
• Support the establishment, integration, testing and validation of secure Defence capabilities aligned with ACP240 and Federated Mission Network spiral architectures.
• Engage with Australian and international stakeholders, coordinating requests and delivery outcomes across the coalition community.
• Identify technical gaps, risks and issues, and assist with testing and validation of solutions within the network.
• Maintain testing schedules, manage access, and ensure systems remain sanitised after testing.
