Job summary

Arcos Group on the Sunshine Coast seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead projects end-to-end, mentor junior staff, and engage directly with clients and stakeholders. This role focuses on residential, commercial, and industrial structures with opportunities for site visits and client meetings.

You will collaborate with the Structural Team Lead to ensure technical excellence and deliver high-quality outcomes across a varied portfolio while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (structural) is required.
• CPEng and/or RPEQ qualification or in progress is preferred.
• Engineers Australia membership is desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience in an Australian consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of NCC, Australian Standards and engineering legislation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural designs, calculations, and reports for a varied project portfolio.
• Provide technical direction in planning and design of complex structural projects.
• Develop concepts, tender and detailed design deliverables.
• Review drafting to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Contribute to tender submissions and fee proposals.
• Utilise and maintain project management and reporting systems.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers within the structural team.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and authorities.
• Prioritise workloads and manage deadlines without compromising quality.
