Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Senior Physiotherapist to join the North Mersey Stroke Service. The post rotates across Hyperacute, Acute and Rehab Stroke units at Aintree and Broadgreen, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver specialist stroke care.

You will supervise staff and students, deputise for team leads, contribute to service development, and participate in seven-day service delivery with flexible shift patterns and on-call

Qualifications

• Undertake physiotherapy assessment and implement treatment plans.
• Lead and support staff development and student education.
• Communicate effectively with patients, carers and health professionals.

Responsibilities

• Undertake physiotherapy assessment and implement treatment plans.
• Lead and support junior staff and student education.
• Communicate effectively with patients, carers and all Health & Social Care Professionals.
• Participate in Departmental Planned Out of Hours Working and Emergency On-Call Rota.
• Represent Physiotherapy Service at MDT meetings.
• Attend ward rounds and clinics with the MDT, assessing and treating patients.
• Involve in supervision of junior staff and student education.
