Job summary

The Department of Education & Training, Victoria seeks an accomplished assessment leader within the Assessment Division to strengthen STEM external assessments. You will lead end-to-end development, drive capability building, and manage panels, ensuring timely, high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities include coordinating with operations, maintaining records, and guiding procurement and reporting while working to a strict timetable and budget. Onsite work is required during peak periods.

Qualifications

Expertise in assessment item development, preferably in STEM.
Experience in project management.
Tertiary qualification in Education or a relevant field.

Responsibilities

Operate effectively as part of branch and divisional teams to embed consistent, effective operations.
Provide expert advice on the development of valid and reliable external assessments, with a focus on STEM.
Lead end-to-end development of a portfolio of high-quality external assessments within timelines and budget, focusing on STEM.
Provide leadership, guidance and capability development to examination panels and lead assessors.
Drive continuous improvement and maintain quality assurance processes across assessment work.
