Job summary

The four-month engagement sits in the Engagement and Communications team and reports to the Assistant Director Media and Engagement.

The role covers day-to-day media monitoring, secretariat support for formal consultations, and mapping stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in media and issues monitoring.
• Background in stakeholder engagement.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with secretariat experience.
• Track record of achieving positive media coverage across issues.
• Background in communications, science, media or journalism.

Responsibilities

• Monitor media daily and identify emerging issues.
• Draft media statements and talking points.
• Provide secretariat support for stakeholder engagement forums and committees.
• Map and analyse stakeholders and maintain databases.
• Develop media opportunities with the Assistant Director Media and Engagement.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
