Job summary

Allegion Australia is seeking a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to lead database management across Microsoft Azure and on‑premises environments. You will plan, install, configure, secure, monitor, and optimize SQL Server databases, with strong T‑SQL development to automate processes and support Dynamics AX 2012.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of enterprise SQL experience, deep knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning, plus experience mentoring junior

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology.
• Minimum five years managing enterprise SQL databases (2016/2017).
• Two years designing Azure SQL Database PaaS solutions.
• Five years planning disaster recovery for enterprise apps.
• Strong T-SQL development and query optimization skills.
• Experience with Dynamics AX 2012 databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain robust SQL database systems with max uptime and performance.
• Design and implement high-availability in on-premises and Azure environments.
• Deploy SQL PaaS solutions in Microsoft Azure.
• Provide administration for SQL Server 2012–2022 and Dynamics AX 2012.
• Plan backups and perform disaster recovery testing.
• Monitor storage, health, security, and performance; tune queries.
• Mentor junior DBAs and collaborate with developers on SDLC.
