Job summary

Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) invites applications for a Senior Speech Pathologist to lead and coordinate speech pathology services across acute, rehabilitation, community and aged care settings at Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre. You will assess swallowing, communication and cognitive disorders and develop care plans that support safe discharge.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, shape models of care and represent speech pathology on committees.

Qualifications

Speech Pathology degree and eligibility for Speech Pathology Australia membership.
Broad clinical experience across acute, rehab, community or aged care.
Expertise in dysphagia and cognitive communication assessment and care.
Strong clinical judgement and evidence-based, consumer-centred practice.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate speech pathology services for consumers with complex needs.
Assess and manage swallowing, communication and cognitive disorders.
Develop care plans that support recovery, function and safe discharge.
Partner with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality, person centred maintenance care.
Build strong links with community providers, aged care and follow up services.
Shape models of care, patient pathways and service improvements.
Represent speech pathology on committees and support SA Health initiatives.
