Job summary

Braemac Pty in Australia is seeking a Senior Sourcing Specialist to oversee the supply chain at our production facility. You will optimise the efficiency of the supply chain to ensure timely delivery, minimise costs and lead times, and maximise customer satisfaction.

You will collaborate with procurement, product marketing, engineering, operations and sales to streamline processes, negotiate contracts, manage inventory, and implement warehousing best practices across the production site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration preferred.
• 7 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations in manufacturing/distribution.
• Strong analytical skills to analyse data, identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in SCM software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Leadership abilities to lead cross-functional teams and drive change.
• APICS or CSCMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimise the supply chain process.
• Identify, evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability and cost.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favourable terms.
• Manage inventory levels to meet demand while minimising costs.
• Coordinate with production to ensure timely inventory replenishment.
• Implement best practices for warehousing and inventory handling.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Establish contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies.
