What is The Role

Join our team as a Senior Solutions Architect for the Public Sector in Australia, where you'll play a key role as a technical advisor supporting our sales team, partners, and customers. In this position, you will engage actively with the regional Elastic community and help address business challenges using the Elastic Stack. We’re looking for someone who values continuous improvement and is keen to enhance both their own skills and the success of the team.

What You Will Be Doing

• Assess client requirements with detailed analysis to identify their needs. Translate these business needs into clear technical specifications. Facilitate discussions to prioritize client expectations and ensure alignment.
• Design scalable and robust system architectures that meet business needs. Create detailed architectural documentation and diagrams for clarity and alignment. Ensure system designs adhere to industry standards and conduct risk assessments to evaluate architectural choices.
• Guide technical teams in navigating complex project implementations and ensure code quality by adhering to best practices. Conduct regular technical reviews and feedback sessions to enhance solution quality. Stay informed about emerging technologies and integrate them into your designs.
• Engage with stakeholders to comprehensively understand their goals and gather detailed requirements. Identify and address any conflicts among stakeholder interests to ensure project alignment and success.
• Evaluate existing solutions to determine their performance and compatibility with client requirements. Develop proof of concept and prototype demonstrations to assist clients in their evaluation process.

What You Bring

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Knowledge with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Expertise in cloud-native application development
• Knowledge of AI, ML, and high-performance computing
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of existing systems
• A willingness to travel 50% within region, as well as occasionally internationally
• Experience working in Australia and New Zealand Public Sector

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary plus a variable component, that together comprise the On-Target Earnings (OTE). On-Target Earnings (OTE) are based on a 70/30 pay mix (base salary / target variable). The typical starting OTE range for new hires in this role is listed below. This range represents the lowest to highest OTE we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the OTE range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program. Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.

The typical starting salary range for this role is: $107,500 - $170,100 USD

The typical starting Target Variable range for this role is: $46,000 - $72,800 USD

The typical starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for this role is: $153,500 - $242,900 USD
