Job summary

Qualifications

• Admitted as an Australian Lawyer with post-admission experience.
• Experience in litigation in tribunals and courts preferred.
• Eligible to hold an unrestricted practising certificate.
• Strong research, writing and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sensitive, complex litigation for the Commissioner of State Revenue.
• Instruct counsel and appear as solicitor-advocate at hearings.
• Provide authoritative internal legal advice on tax matters.
• Mentor and develop less experienced Legal Officers.
• Advise on policy and practice development.
