Job summary

Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions NSW is seeking a Principal Solicitor, Governance and Integrity, based in Sydney CBD. The role leads governance, integrity and accountability with one direct report, advising on PIDs, conflicts of interest and complaints.

You will assist Right to Information and Privacy Officers and manage information access requests while upholding confidentiality and prosecutorial independence.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in law and admission as an Australian legal practitioner.
• Hold an Australian Practising Certificate authorising supervision of others.
• Knowledge of Public Interest Disclosures Act 2022 and related statutory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on governance, integrity and accountability.
• Manage PIDs, conflicts of interest, and complaints with appropriate risk assessment.
• Oversee information access requests and privacy issues for RTI and Privacy Officers.
• Maintain governance policies and act as a contact for Mutual Assistance and Criminal Justice Certificates.
• Support statutory functions while upholding confidentiality and prosecutorial independence.
