Job summary

Marigold is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join a fully remote team. You will build and own robust software, shape architecture, and modernise systems with a focus on maintainability and AI-assisted tooling.

You’ll manage messaging infrastructure and collaborate across disciplines to improve developer experience and documentation. You will work with AWS-focused cloud technologies, Docker and Kubernetes, and participate in on-call rotations while mentoring peers and guiding engineering

Qualifications

• 9+ years of software development with strong OOP.
• Proven Java and at least one other language (C# preferred).
• Experience with Kafka and microservices.
• Cloud proficiency (AWS) and DevOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop, Own & Maintain robust software solutions using OOP principles.
• Architect & Modernise systems; drive technical direction and architecture.
• Operate & Evolve messaging/infrastructure; ensure reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate on AWS services including Fargate, EC2, ECS, RDS, Elasticsearch.
• Handle DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, deployment automation.
• Lead on-call duties and drive monitoring improvements.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to design reviews and documentation.
