We are currently seeking an experienced Frontend Software Engineer (React) to join our growing team on a full-time basis, contributing to the delivery of projects and features involving various levels of complexity.

About the Role:

As an experienced Mid-Senior Software Engineer (Frontend), you’ll lead the design and implementation of complex features, act as a technical escalation point for others, and contribute significantly to projects across the agency. You’ll play a key role in architecting scalable front-end solutions, simplifying complexity, and setting the standard for technical quality.

This role is full-time and can be based in any of our Convert Digital offices (Melbourne, Brisbane, or Sydney), with flexible hybrid working arrangements. It’s an ongoing role for someone excited to be part of a dynamic ecommerce agency and contribute to a variety of projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading the development of scalable, high-performance React applications.
• Architecting complex solutions that balance usability, maintainability, and performance.
• Overseeing and contributing to the delivery of work by other developers across accounts.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to scope and deliver technical solutions.
• Acting as a mentor and go-to technical escalation point within the team.
• Driving best practices through code reviews, documentation, and technical leadership.
• Identifying risks, managing dependencies, and simplifying complex challenges.

Skills and Experience:

• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, specifically with React or similar technologies.
• Deep expertise in NextJS, TypeScript and front-end architecture.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining complex frontend systems.
• Experience with automated testing libraries and design systems.
• A strong understanding of cloud-based services and modern deployment workflows.
• A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.
• Experience reviewing code, mentoring others, and championing best practice.
• A passion for learning, sharing knowledge, and growing those around you.
• Bonus: Experience working with Commercetools or Shopify.
