Job summary

Google is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for iOS/CarPlay in Sydney. The Geo team builds accurate maps and related products used by billions of users daily. You will work on Maps features for CarPlay, collaborating with PMs and UX to shape requirements and drive end-to-end delivery.

The role focuses on full-stack work, system design, and mentoring other engineers as part of a fast-paced, innovative team that pushes mapping technology forward.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of iOS app development.
• 3+ years testing/maintaining/launching software and 1 year large-scale design.

Responsibilities

• Work full-stack or across surfaces to deliver features end-to-end.
• Deliver navigation, search, and AI features for Google Maps on CarPlay.
• Manage full software lifecycle with PM and UX input.
• Design implementation of new functionality with senior engineers.
• Lead other engineers on the team.
