Job summary

G2i Inc. is seeking a Senior/Staff-level software engineer evaluator to assess AI coding agents’ behavior. This contract, remote worldwide role focuses on judging usefulness, engineering judgment, and the quality of explanations rather than writing production code.

You will provide clear, written feedback and video explanations, helping shape what excellent interaction looks like when using tools like Codex, Claude Code and Cursor.

Qualifications

• Senior, Staff or Principal-level engineer (or equivalent experience).
• Strong background in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python.
• Hands-on experience with OpenAI Codex, Claude Code or Cursor.
• Deep familiarity with modern AI-assisted dev workflows.
• Able to evaluate code without executing it or reviewing every line.
• Strong written and spoken English (B2 or above).
• Comfortable giving direct, opinionated feedback.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated coding interactions end to end.
• Judge usefulness and high-level correctness of outputs.
• Assess explanations and reasoning, not just code.
• Provide clear, opinionated feedback on what worked or didn’t.
• Help define what great looks like when working with AI coding tools.
