Job summary

KBR in Australia is seeking a Senior Software Developer for an Expression of Interest (EOI) in Canberra and Brisbane. The role focuses on designing, developing and maintaining high-quality software in a collaborative Agile environment, with opportunities to work on secure, mission-critical defence capabilities.

Applicants must hold NV1 security clearance or higher and be prepared for permanent full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in software development.
• Experience with C# and WPF.
• Solid understanding of OOP and software design.
• Experience with unit testing and delivering high-quality, maintainable code.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality software in accordance with established standards and best practices.
• Participate in all Agile sprint activities, including planning, estimation, development and reviews.
• Contribute to software design, task decomposition and effort estimation.
• Develop and execute unit and system testing to ensure software quality and performance.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers and stakeholders to deliver effective software solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve development processes, tools and practices.
• Represent KBR professionally while adhering to company policies, security requirements and quality standards.
