Job summary

Oracle in Sydney, Australia seeks a mid-senior DevOps professional to design, implement, and maintain robust OCI-based CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code using Terraform. You will automate builds, tests, and deployments while ensuring security and compliance across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Terraform on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Experience with OCI services including Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle APEX.
• Proficient with Git and source control workflows.
• 3+ years designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Strong cloud security and compliance understanding.
• Scripting skills in Bash or Python.
• Excellent collaboration and communication across teams.
• Hands-on experience with OCI DevOps tools (OCI SCM, OCI Pipelines) and Terraform on OCI.

The role supports the automation, scalability, and security of cloud-based environments while adhering to industry and organizational best practices. Continuous evaluation and adoption of advancements in cloud DevOps practices is expected.

Main Duties

• Ensure timely delivery of robust and automated cloud infrastructure and CI/CD solutions that meet business requirements.
• Continuously update knowledge of DevOps best practices, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services, and automation tools, and share insights with the team.
• Advocate and uphold high standards of automation, testing, and security in all DevOps processes.
• Proactively collaborate with team members to identify, implement, and document improvements in deployment and operational workflows.
• Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance in areas of cloud automation, pipeline optimization, and infrastructure as code.

Qualifications & Skills

• At least 4 years of experience with infrastructure as code, particularly using Terraform on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Experience with Oracle based systems, specifically Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle APEX.
• Proficient with source control systems, especially Git.
• At least 3 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with automation and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Chef).
• At least 3 years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• At least 1 year of experience with Helm.
• Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Solid scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or similar.
• Effective troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities for cloud‑based applications and deployment workflows.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across cross‑functional teams.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including OCI DevOps tools such as OCI SCM, OCI Pipelines, and Terraform on OCI.
• Knowledge and experience with Go‑Live Production Processes, and internal security architecture reviews and approvals in a corporate setting.
