Job summary

Revo Fitness is seeking a Senior Developer to join our in-house team in Perth. You will join an agile group across mobile, backend, infrastructure, and web, contributing to architectural decisions and mentoring peers.

The role requires hands-on ownership of production systems and strong communication skills. You'll design member-facing features, improve platform components, and manage end-to-end delivery from specification to post-release monitoring.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Software Developer or similar role.
• Experience across mobile, backend, web, infrastructure, and CI.
• Ownership of production systems end-to-end including rebuild vs retention decisions.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational data modelling.
• Experience establishing automated testing, code review, and release processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver new member-facing features and product capability across the mobile application, backend services, and public website.
• Drive continuous improvement of existing platform components and existing systems, making recommendations on retention, replacement, or rebuilds.
• Own delivery end-to-end, from specification through release to post-release monitoring.
• Establish and maintain development standards, code review practice, automated testing, continuous integration, and release processes.
• Administer and improve hosting infrastructure across cloud platform services and managed Linux servers.
• Mentor other developers through code review, pairing, and technical guidance.
• Maintain and extend integrations with third-party membership, payment, and communications platforms.

The Opportunity

This newly created role is an exciting opportunity to join our growing in-house development team and shape the next phase of our tech solutions. Working closely in an agile team of four across mobile, backend, infrastructure, and web, you'll collaborate directly with the Team Lead on key architectural, tooling, and process decisions. We’re looking for a skilled Senior Developer with strong mentoring, technical, and communication skills. You'll thrive if you've come from a start-up or small business where you have experience across a wide range of tasks and enjoy building up processes.

What will you be doing?

• Design and deliver new member-facing features and product capability across the mobile application, backend services, and public website

• Experience across multiple layers of the stack: mobile, backend, web, infrastructure, and CI
• Demonstrated experience owning production systems end to end, including decisions on rebuild versus retention
• Proficiency in SQL and relational data modelling
• Experience establishing development practices such as automated testing, code review, or release processes

• Mobile: React Native, Expo, TypeScript
• Backend and data: PHP, SQL Server, MySQL, Docker
• Infrastructure: Azure, managed Linux VPS, infrastructure-as-code, GitHub Actions, DNS, and TLS
• Web: WordPress, PHP, Tailwind, contemporary JavaScript tooling React Native or Expo, PHP, Azure and SQL Server are desirable.
