About The Role

As the Senior Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the wellbeing and mental health of students and their families. You will provide professional supervision, leadership, and advocacy to social workers within the region, ensuring the delivery of high-quality social work services in schools.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Providing professional mental health and social welfare assessments, interventions, and follow-up support for students and families, including those in schools with complex needs.
  • Offering leadership and expertise in specialised clinical areas to social workers, promoting safe and effective service delivery.
  • Collaborating with school and regional teams to coordinate internal and external support for students with mental health and social/emotional concerns.
  • Supporting the improvement of social work services by reviewing policies, evaluating programs, and providing recommendations to senior advisors.
  • Responding to critical incidents and emergencies as part of the school and regional response team.
