Job summary

ClickHouse, Inc. is expanding its Site Reliability Engineering team to ensure reliability, availability, and performance of ClickHouse in the cloud. As a core member, you will own incident response, monitoring, and continuous improvement across engineering and operations.

You will collaborate with Control Plane, Dataplane, Security, Support and Cloud teams, lead chaos initiatives, and drive blameless postmortems to ship resilient, scalable ClickHouse deployments for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Reliability Engineering, QA or customer facing engineering.
• Experience operating ClickHouse or other SQL databases in production.
• Strong understanding of distributed DB internals and SQL; ClickHouse preferred.
• Scripting with Shell or Python; ability to read C++.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong problem-solving and production debugging skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced global team and own responsibilities.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Continuously improve reliability and performance of ClickHouse core.
• Improve metrics and alerts to detect problems in production before impact.
• Investigate customer issues, submit bug reports, and suggest improvements.
• Refine incident response and post-mortem analysis for outages with cross teams.
• Plan and drive Chaos initiatives across Engineering teams.
• Manage on-call processes and coordinate escalation to minimize customer impact.
