Job summary

V/Line is seeking a Senior Engineer - Signalling to lead assurance activities for Victoria's rail projects from Melbourne. You will review designs against the V/Line SMS and operate across multiple projects to ensure safe, reliable network changes.

The role requires collaboration with internal teams and external partners, with occasional site travel to regional Victoria. A Level 2 SOC or equivalent competency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Signalling and railway engineering experience in large projects.
• Ability to lead design reviews and ensure SMS conformance.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead signalling assurance across Victoria's major rail projects.
• Provide technical leadership to shape safe, reliable network outcomes.
• Review signalling designs for compliance with SMS and standards.
• Coordinate with design teams, third-party contractors and offices.
• Manage task allocation, progress monitoring and design assurance activities.
• Travel to regional Victoria sites as required.
