We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior SHEQ Advisor to play a critical role in driving our SHEQ systems, audits, and performance across the Group.

As a Senior SHEQ Advisor, you will provide expert guidance and support in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of SHEQ management systems and internal audits. You will work closely with leadership and project teams to ensure alignment with business goals, legislative compliance, and best-practice SHEQ outcomes.

Based in our Belmont head office, ad hoc site travel will be required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the implementation of Group-wide SHEQ Strategy through project deliverables and Group SHEQ audit program.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor SHEQ management systems including Myosh and other platforms.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on SHEQ systems, audits, and risk management.
  • Monitor legislative and compliance changes and implement required system and process updates.
  • Support business units with project SHEQ deliverables and ensure high performance and compliance.
  • Build strong internal and external partnerships, promote SHEQ branding and reputation.
  • Coach and mentor teams, drive continuous improvement, and embed a strong SHEQ culture across the organisation.
Essential Requirements
  • Diploma in WHS (or equivalent minimum).
  • Lead Auditor qualification in safety, environmental, and/or quality management systems.
  • Minimum 7 years in a senior SHEQ role, with at least 5 years of auditing experience.
  • ICAM investigation training.
  • Proven experience improving SHEQ performance and implementing integrated management systems.
  • Deep knowledge of relevant legislation and international SHEQ standards.
  • Experience supporting project delivery and business transitions.
  • Current National Police Clearance.
  • Valid First Aid, CPR, and White Card.
  • Australian “C” Class Driver’s Licence.
Desirable
  • Industry experience in utilities, renewables, construction, or resources.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Mental Health First Aid training.
  • Experience in business due diligence and acquisitions.
