Job summary

Asjtech in Australia is seeking a Senior Security Operations Specialist to monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats across cloud-hosted solutions, using platforms like Microsoft Sentinel and Defender. You will report to the Cyber Security Lead and contribute to both planning and operational phases in a hybrid setup requiring two in-office days per week.

You'll work with DevOps and security teams to improve detection coverage, develop automation playbooks, and drive remediation across Azure

Qualifications

• Hands-on cyber security operations in enterprise or cloud environments.
• Experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms, especially Microsoft Sentinel.
• Incident detection, alert triage and root cause analysis.
• Security automation and scripting to support orchestration.
• Experience with Azure cloud logging, monitoring and controls.
• Familiarity with WoAG policies such as ISM and Essential Eight.

• Security Operations & Investigation: analyse events, triage incidents.
• Security Automation & Orchestration: create playbooks and scripts.

• Threat Intelligence & Use Case Development: leverage threat intel.
• Collaboration and Continuous Improvement: work with DevOps and security teams.
