Job description
Senior Secretariat and Communications Officer

Salary: $72,000 - $78,000 per annum (plus super) depending on experience

VACCHO is committed to supporting staff through a hybrid work model that balances flexibility with connection. All new staff complete a three‑month training and onboarding period in the office.

Following this period, staff may request hybrid arrangements, with the option to work from home up to two days per week.

Location: Collingwood, VIC (Hybrid Work Model)

About CEADH and VACCHO: The Centre of Excellence for Aboriginal Digital in Health (CEADH) champions Aboriginal‑led recommendations for digital health technologies, respecting over 250 languages and communities. VACCHO is the peak representative for the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Victoria, supporting 34 member organisations and over 78,000 people across the state.

About the role: This part‑time (0.6 FTE) position on a three‑year contract supports CEADH’s operations and communications. Your role will include:

  • Providing operational support and coordination for CEADH projects and events.
  • Maintaining CEADH’s website and social media presence.
  • Coordinating communications, public updates, and secretariat duties for the CEADH Partnership Council, membership and partner groups.
  • Ensuring communications, governance and research collaboration activities align with Closing the Gap Priority Reform and promote self‑determination, data governance and digital inclusion.
  • Working closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander partners across Australia.
