Job summary

Enerven is seeking a Secondary Engineer to design HV and UHV substations and renewables projects across a national portfolio. You will produce SLDs, schematics, general arrangements, cable schedules and load calculations from bid to commissioning while mentoring junior engineers.

You will work with protection, control and SCADA interfaces, supporting business development and leading process improvements to raise quality across the team.

Qualifications

• Qualified engineer with detailed knowledge of secondary design across substations and renewables projects.
• Experience delivering secondary designs for HV/UHV transmission projects.
• Ability to produce and review secondary deliverables, plan and prioritise work.
• Strong communication with engineers, drafters and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop HV and UHV substation and renewables secondary designs (SLDs, schematics, general arrangements, cable schedules, load calculations).
• Review secondary designs and provide technical guidance to engineers, designers and drafters.
• Collaborate with protection teams to integrate with control, metering and SCADA.
• Support business development with conceptual designs and project proposals.
• Improve processes and templates to lift output quality.
• Advise stakeholders weighing technical, commercial and contractual factors.
• Contribute to value engineering and provide site support during construction and commissioning.
