Job summary

Pathology Queensland seeks a Senior Scientist to lead Haematology and Transfusion services across the Fraser Coast region, including Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals. You will ensure adherence to NATA, NPAAC and ISO 15189 standards and support strategic planning with the supervising team.

You will supervise staff, validate new instrumentation, provide expert scientific advice to clients, and drive improvements in service delivery and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific knowledge in Haematology and Transfusion.
• Ability to supervise Health Practitioner staff and coordinate teams.
• Experience implementing instrumentation and ensuring QA as per standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific leadership within Fraser Coast Laboratories for Haematology and Transfusion.
• Develop and improve supervised services with Fraser Coast team and stakeholders.
• Coordinate training and education for staff and ensure KPI delivery.
