Language Disorder Australia – Fig Tree Pocket QLD is seeking a Secondary Teacher of Mathematics for Mancel College in Brisbane. Join a values-based, neurodiversity-aware school supporting students with Language Disorder.

You will deliver engaging, differentiated Mathematics lessons, build student confidence, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support neurodiverse learners and their families. The role is full-time, commencing Term 1, 2027, at Mancel College.

Qualifications

• Teaching qualifications and current QCT registration.
• Experience and confidence teaching Senior School Mathematics.
• A learner-centred, inclusive approach to education and a passion for building student confidence.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build authentic relationships with students, colleagues, and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated Mathematics lessons that build student confidence and capability.
• Help students apply learning to real-world contexts through meaningful reading and mathematical learning experiences.
• Collaborate with allied health professionals, teachers, school assistants and leadership as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain a structured, inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged.
• Work closely with families to build trust, maintain transparency, and support each student’s progress and wellbeing.
