Job summary

Unity College is seeking a dedicated Year 6–12 College Counsellor to join our Middle/Senior School Wellbeing Team in 2027. The role reports to the Principal and collaborates with the Senior School Chaplain to support students and families.

Experience with counselling and/or social work focused on secondary students is highly desirable. The fixed-term contract is 1.0 FTE (41 weeks) for 2027, with potential for permanency in the future.

Qualifications

• Experience in counselling or social work with a focus on secondary school students.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with families and students.
• Ability to work as part of a wellbeing team and report to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling and wellbeing support to Year 6–12 students and families.
• Collaborate with the Middle/Senior School Wellbeing Team and the Principal.
• Assist in developing programs that promote student resilience and mental health.
