Job summary

Carey Baptist Grammar School in Victoria is seeking an experienced Career Practitioner to support Senior School students and families with subject selection, tertiary planning, and post‑school pathways.

Reporting to the Head of Senior School, you will deliver career education programs, provide individual counselling, coordinate work placements and Year 10 Work Experience, and maintain comprehensive career records.

Qualifications

• Must hold a CICA-recognised qualification.
• Knowledge of CEAV Code of Ethics and career development practices.
• Strong knowledge of VCE, VET and IB pathway options.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual career and course counselling to students and parents.
• Deliver career development programs for Years 10–12.
• Assist students with subject selection and post-school pathway planning.
• Advise on tertiary education options including VTAC and UCAT.
• Conduct career information sessions and parent education events.
• Maintain student records and career planning documentation.
• Manage and expand Year 10 Work Experience Program and employer engagement.
