Job summary

ACCIONA in Australia’s South Australia region is seeking a Safety Manager to deliver the Regional Safety Strategy on a large infrastructure project based in Adelaide. You will be accountable for a Safety Management Plan aligned with business and project goals, and you will engage senior leaders and frontline teams.

You will focus on building OH&S capability, reducing duplication, minimising complexity, and growing project team members.

Qualifications

Tertiary degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
Extensive experience in construction safety management.
Strong agility and problem-solving to drive OH&S strategy.
Developed leadership, coaching and mentoring with excellent communication.
In-depth knowledge of state and federal safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Build safety capability focusing on contemporary thinking to improve safety across the project.
Develop and shape the Safety Management Plan to mitigate risks and enhance safety performance.
Identify and drive safety initiatives, innovations, and technology to lead best practice and productivity.
Drive OH&S programs and processes through design, development and improvement.
Conduct risk management, governance and assurance activities, including safety audits and inspections.
Stay updated on regulatory changes and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Analyze safety performance metrics and trends to identify improvement opportunities.
