Queensland Government is seeking a Rural Generalist with Advanced Skills in Internal Medicine in Cairns region within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service. The role focuses on implementing quality standards, monitoring WHS policies and leading clinical governance activities to support remote communities.

You will provide population health services to local communities and participate in community health programs, while enjoying a competitive base salary and extensive allowances

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the organisation's quality standards, work health and safety policies, procedures and programs and provide clinical governance in the relevant work area.
• Active involvement in all clinical governance activities in the workplace - e.g. Clinical Care Review Meetings, Mortality and Morbidity Review Meetings and Death Reviews.
• Provision of population health services to the local community or communities served, including active participation in community health programs
