About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to take on the role of Senior Revenue Officer within the South Western Sydney Local Health District. In this pivotal position, you will provide authoritative advice and support to the Director of Revenue, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our revenue processes and systems. You will oversee cashiering functions, supervise revenue claims and cash clerks, and maintain accurate invoicing and receipting practices. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to meet strict deadlines, and a commitment to fostering a collaborative team environment. What You'll be Doing

The position of senior revenue officer is responsible for the provision of professional authoritative advice and assistance to the Director of Revenue relating to the South Western Sydney Local Health District Revenue processes and systems used. This position will provide supervision and assistance when necessary, of revenue claims and revenue cash clerks, to ensure effective invoicing, and receipting practice and processes are adhered to, and promoting an effective team environment meeting strict deadlines.

  • Demonstrate ability to identify and analyse issues and problems, consider alternatives, and commit to course of action, attention to detail, while being able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work under own initiative, providing guidance instruction or procedures for the use by other staff members in their relevant area of responsibility.
  • Experience in working with Oracle, handling cash and credit card transactions, and reconciliation of bank statements.
  • Ability to multitask, manage conflicting demands and prioritise and the ability to cope and work under pressure.
  • Efficient in reading comprehension, written oral communication, negotiation, and people skills.
  • Ability to understand and work with confidential information.
  • Demonstrated experience with revenue related issues and knowledge of NSW Health policy and procedures.
  • Understanding of the statewide billing system PowerBilling & Revenue Collection (PBRC) and its functionality at an local health district level.
  • Do you have a current Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2)? if you hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
