Northern Star Resources Limited in Subiaco invites a Senior Geologist – Resources to translate geological insight into enduring value. Turn geological insight into lasting opportunity. Join our Subiaco team as a Senior Geologist – Resources and help shape the resource projects that support the future of our operations.

Reporting to the Principal Geologist – Resources, you’ll support major geological projects, advancing resources into our Life of Mine (LOM) plans. You’ll also bring fresh thinking to the exploration of new opportunities, developing and testing ideas that strengthen our resource pipeline and drive future growth.

This role offers a unique blend of challenges and rewards across various technical disciplines, where you'll guide and mentor Geologists, ensuring geological excellence in interpretation, modelling, and estimation. Collaborating closely with Operational, Growth and Discovery geology teams, you'll assist with and support opportunities within NSR’s world-class assets, monitor reconciliation and model performance, and contribute significantly to all mine geology and technical functions.

Where you’ll add value:

• Support the geological interpretation, 3D modelling, and resource estimation of all assets, ensuring model accuracy and compliance with reporting standards, while mentoring junior geologists and collaborating with mine planning and exploration teams to support resource growth and development.
• Guide and mentor Geologists, ensuring geological excellence through interpretation, modelling, and estimation.
• Monitor reconciliation and model performance, contributing significantly to all mine geology and technical functions.
• Ensure technical systems and workflows are allowing the operations Geologists to deliver quality geological interpretation, 3D modelling, and resource estimation.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Geology from a recognised tertiary institution.
• Experience in a production environment as a Geologist, preferably in both underground and open pits.
• High level of competency in the use of modelling, geostatistics and estimation software (Datamine, Leapfrog or Supervisor).
• Proven competency in orebody interpretation, wireframing, and modelling estimation methodologies.
• Good understanding of geostatistical and classical estimation methods as well as reconciliation processes.
