A NSW Government agency is seeking two Senior Research & Evaluation Analysts to deliver research, analysis, and evaluation projects that shape policy and improve service outcomes for Aboriginal communities across NSW.

Senior Research & Evaluation Analyst (Quantitative)

What you’ll do

• Lead quantitative research and evaluation projects
• Conduct advanced statistical analysis (e.g., regression, causal inference, modelling)
• Design surveys, evaluation frameworks, logic models and tools
• Review and quality‑assure commissioned research
• Translate complex data into clear insights for senior decision‑makers
• Apply culturally informed and ethical research practices

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years research/evaluation experience (quant or mixed‑methods)
• Strong analytical skills using R, Stata, SPSS, or Python
• Experience designing quantitative methods and data collection tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Understanding of culturally safe research (or willingness to build capability)

Senior Research & Evaluation Analyst (Qualitative)

What you’ll do

• Lead qualitative research using interviews, yarning, workshops, case studies, etc.
• Develop evaluation frameworks, program logics and data collection tools
• Build evaluation capability across teams and partners
• Produce clear, actionable insights for reports, briefs and stakeholders
• Engage respectfully and collaboratively with diverse communities and service partners

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years qualitative research/evaluation experience
• Strong capability in participatory or community‑based research methods
• Experience working with priority or vulnerable populations (highly valued)
• Excellent writing, facilitation and communication skills
• Ability to translate evidence into practical policy recommendations
