Job summary

ELEV8 Consulting in Canberra is seeking a Senior Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our Occupational Rehabilitation team. This role focuses on complex psychological cases within Comcare, navigating stakeholder environments and delivering tailored return-to-work strategies.

The position offers Canberra-based hybrid work with flexibility across visits, our office and home. You will collaborate with employees, employers and practitioners while contributing to service quality and growth across

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling
• Current ASORC accreditation
• At least 3 years of Occupational Rehabilitation experience
• Proven Comcare experience
• Experience in vocational assessment, counselling and return-to-work planning
• Strong stakeholder management with employers, insurers and government stakeholders
• Strong report writing and clinical reasoning
• Ability to manage caseload autonomously within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Manage complex psychological rehabilitation and return-to-work cases.
• Conduct vocational assessments and vocational counselling.
• Develop evidence-based rehabilitation and return-to-work strategies.
• Work closely with employees, employers, treating practitioners and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate case conferences and stakeholder meetings.
• Provide strategic recommendations to address barriers to recovery and return to work.
• Prepare clear, concise and outcome-focused rehabilitation reports.
• Support sustainable same-employer and new-employer return-to-work outcomes.
• Contribute to the growth and quality of ELEV8's Occupational Rehabilitation services.
