About The Role

As the Senior Registry Officer, you will lead the Records and Client Service teams, providing guidance, oversight, and professional advice to ensure high-quality, compliant registry services. This role is critical in managing and improving recordkeeping practices for the Court and Commission, overseeing client service delivery, and contributing to continuous improvement and information governance.

You will provide expert advice on record management and compliance, support the migration of records to a new document management system, and lead a small team dedicated to delivering excellent client service.

The Industrial Registry, headed by the Industrial Registrar, provides administrative and client service support to the Industrial Court of Queensland and the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission (QIRC). Our purpose is to provide efficient and effective support to the Court and Commission in the administration of their functions. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the Records and Client Service teams to ensure efficient, compliant, and high-quality services.
  • Manage all aspects of recordkeeping, including retention, archiving, disposal, and transition to digital systems.
  • Provide expert advice and support on records management, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Oversee the recording and transcription process, liaising with Recording and Transcription Services (RTS).
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and support staff to build a collaborative, capable, and positive team culture.
  • Assist the Industrial Registrar and Deputy Industrial Registrar as required.
