Kooltech Refrigeration & Air Conditioning is seeking a skilled Senior Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician to join our Brisbane-area team. You will service, maintain and fault-find a variety of refrigeration and air conditioning systems, with opportunities to assist with field management and quotations.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years experience, a Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, and a Restricted Electrical Licence.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in refrigeration and air conditioning service and maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.

Responsabilités

We’re looking for a skilled, hands-on Senior Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician to join our growing business.

This is an opportunity for an experienced refrigeration technician who knows their trade, is confident and has a practical approach to problem solving that also enjoys working in a team and independently while delivering reliable service to our customers.

The Role:

Due to the growth of our business, we are seeking skilled, motivated and proactive senior refrigeration and air conditioning technician to work alongside and where required directly with management, assisting with field management including quotations while continuing hands‑on service work where required.

You need the ability to perform effectively, both within a team environment and autonomously.

In this role, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repairs to a large variety of refrigeration and air conditioning systems with an opportunity to carry out commissioning of new systems.

Industrial refrigeration experience knowledge would also be an advantage however is not a requirement, training if required can be undertaken for the right person.

Key responsibilities:

• Servicing and maintaining various refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and systems.
• Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, electrical and refrigeration faults.
• Carrying out breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Identifying issues, recommending solutions and minimising equipment downtime.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintaining accurate service records and communicating professionally with customers.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to ensure optimal system performance
• Representing the business with a strong focus on reliability, workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Work safely across all sites following Kooltech and clients WHS requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

We want an experienced technician who can confidently manage and carry out day‑to‑day service work and take pride in delivering a quality result.

You will ideally have:

• Solid experience in refrigeration and air conditioning service and maintenance.
• Qualified Refrigeration Mechanic (Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning)
• Restricted Electrical Licence
• QBCC - desirable
• White Safety Induction Card
• A current Australian driver's licence.
• 5 + years of experience in the Refrigeration and air conditioning field
• Experience with building HVAC.
• Experience with chilled water or glycol systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Excellent time and management skills
• Strong fault‑finding, diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities.
• The ability to work independently, manage your workload and make sound technical decisions.
• A professional approach to customers, safety and quality workmanship.
