Job description

Job Type: Full-time | Location: Sydney, Australia | Department: P&C | Reporting to: Aust Recruitment Lead | Work Location: Hybrid

IREN is a vertically integrated AI Cloud provider, delivering large-scale data centers and GPU clusters for AI training and inference. IREN’s platform is underpinned by its expansive portfolio of grid‑connected land and power in renewable‑rich regions across North America, Europe and APAC.
With 100% renewable energy, we build, own and operate our data centers and take pride in being at the forefront of sustainable solutions for the ever‑evolving applications of high‑performance compute. We believe that human progress is invaluable, but it should be done in the right way – responsibly, sustainably and having a positive impact on the communities we operate in.

We're looking for a highly capable Recruiter to support hiring across our corporate functions in a competitive and specialised talent market. While this is a generalist corporate role, there will be a strong focus on Legal, Commercial and Risk positions, so experience recruiting in these areas — or engaging credibly with these candidate markets — will be highly valued. This role requires someone who can build strong talent pipelines, anticipate organisational needs, and partner effectively with senior stakeholders across the business. You'll play a critical role in securing top‑tier corporate talent — often for hard‑to‑fill, business‑critical positions — ensuring our teams have the right expertise, at the right time, to support the continued growth of the organisation.

This role requires strong judgement, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to balance quality of hire with pace — effectively supporting a growing and evolving corporate function.

Senior Recruiter Job Requirements
  • 5+ years of recruiting and sourcing experience, ideally across corporate functions, with experience recruiting Legal, Commercial or Risk positions highly regarded, and a strong understanding of specialised talent markets and business‑critical hiring needs.
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously while building structured, repeatable recruitment processes that drive consistency, efficiency, and quality outcomes.
  • Strong commitment to delivering a high‑quality candidate and hiring manager experience, balancing service excellence with operational rigour and timeline accountability.
  • Trusted handler of confidential and sensitive information, maintaining integrity and discretion in all People & Culture matters — particularly important given exposure to senior and legally sensitive appointments.
  • Passionate about talent acquisition and continuously improving recruitment practices.
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, engaging credibly with senior leaders and supporting hiring decision‑making and offer processes.
Job Responsibilities
  • Own end‑to‑end recruitment for corporate roles, with a focus on Legal, Commercial and Risk positions.
  • Partner with hiring leaders to forecast needs and build pipelines ahead of demand.
  • Develop targeted sourcing strategies for hard‑to‑fill and niche roles.
  • Provide market insights on talent availability and remuneration to guide hiring decisions.
  • Keep processes moving — driving timely decisions to secure talent in competitive markets.
  • Manage multiple concurrent vacancies without compromising quality or candidate experience.
Job Benefits
  • Competitive salary range based on experience and impact
    • Short and long‑term incentive programs designed to reward both results and long‑term company success

We value diverse perspectives and believe that skills can be developed. If you’re passionate about this role, we want to hear from you — whether you meet every criteria or not. Your unique experiences might be exactly what we need!
