Job summary

XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Python Full Stack Engineer to join our Sydney team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services with Python, leveraging FastAPI, Django, or AIOHTTP, and integrate REST/GraphQL APIs within a microservices architecture.

You will work with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), Docker-based containerization, and event-driven patterns to deliver high-performance solutions.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and modern backend stacks.
• Experience with FastAPI, Django or AIOHTTP.
• Solid SQL skills with PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server.
• Strong REST APIs and microservices experience.
• Hands-on with Docker/containerization.
• Cloud experience on AWS or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python frameworks.
• Develop and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Work with event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar.
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and Architecture teams.
