Prosecution Services provides the prosecutorial function to members of the Service on matters before the Magistrates, Children's and Coroners Courts. This position requires supervision of subordinate staff. Mt Isa Police Prosecution Corps is a medium sized establishment with a satellite office in Normanton. Prosecutors are responsible for police related matters in Mt Isa Magistrates Court District in addition to servicing circuit courts of Birdsville, Boulia, Camooweal, Cloncurry, Dajarra, Julia Creek and the Gulf Circuit, prosecuting matters at Mornington Island, Normanton, Doomadgee and Burketown. This position offers a broad level of experience across all Magistrates Court criminal matters, providing a depth of skill and expertise in prosecuting, with the added dimension of circuit courts.
