The Victorian Government Solicitor's Office (VGSO) seeks a Senior or Principal Solicitor with strong property law expertise to advise State Government clients on crown and freehold land matters and related commercial transactions. You will draft and negotiate complex agreements, provide timely legal advice, and mentor junior solicitors.

Competenze

• Admitted to practice as a legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
• 4+ years (Senior Solicitor) or 6+ years (Principal Solicitor) practising experience.
• Strong knowledge of property law in transactional and advisory contexts.
• Excellent interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Experience supervising, leading and mentoring staff.
• Interest in government law and public sector values.

• Prepare written and oral legal advice on complex and urgent matters.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis.
• Draft, negotiate and settle complex property and commercial agreements, including leases and contracts of sale.
• Report to supervisors on files and collaborate with teammates.
