This role sits within the KC-30A Engineering & Technical Services team and plays an important part in keeping the fleet safe, compliant and available for operations. You'll work across aircraft sustainment, engineering investigations, technical information reviews and modification activities, providing the engineering judgement that helps turn complex technical information into practical outcomes. The role also offers the opportunity to mentor developing engineers, contribute to engineering governance and help shape how engineering support is delivered across the program. This role is based in Springfield or Pinkenba (Brisbane Airport), Queensland. Hybrid working, and a 9 day fortnight option available. Australian Citizenship and the ability to gain and retain NV1 clearance is mandatory.
You're an Aerospace, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineer with experience in aviation, sustainment, airworthiness or other highly regulated engineering environments. You enjoy solving technical problems, working with a broad range of stakeholders and seeing the real-world impact of engineering decisions. Just as importantly, you're someone who can provide guidance to others, share knowledge and help lift capability across the team. Experience in Defence or aviation is highly regarded, but we'll also consider engineers from other regulated industries who bring strong engineering fundamentals and a willingness to learn.
