Job summary

Downer EDI Limited seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale HV transmission line projects in Australia. You will oversee delivery teams, drive safety, cost, and schedule performance, and foster strong client relationships across Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney locations.

You will mentor multidisciplinary teams, manage complex contracts, and contribute to future tender strategies while upholding Zero Harm and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong commercial, financial and contract management capability.
• Experience in leading geographically dispersed project teams.
• Experience in project planning, programming and execution.
• Proven stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and mentoring capability.
• Well-developed communication, negotiation and decision-making skills.
• A commitment to safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• PMBOK and/or CPPD accreditation will be highly regarded.

Downer is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of major high voltage transmission line projects across our Energy and Utilities business.

The Opportunity

As the Senior Project Manager, you will oversee project delivery teams and be responsible for driving safe, profitable and high-quality project outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to lead large scale transmission line construction programs, build strong client relationships and contribute to the continued growth and success of our business. This role may be located Brisbane QLD, Melbourne VIC or Sydney, NSW.

Key responsibilities include:
