Job summary

Randstad Australia seeks a Senior Project Manager to join our Brisbane team and lead major projects in commercial, defence, health and education sectors. You will oversee budgets, schedules and quality across projects, with responsibility for programme delivery and stakeholder liaison.

The role requires a proven track record in Australian head contractor environments, strong leadership, and expertise with construction software. An immediate start is possible for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Stable track record delivering new builds for head contractor in Australia.
• Ability to manage programme, schedule and sequence trades effectively.
• Experience with construction software such as Hammertech or Procore.
• Strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and clients.

Responsibilities

• Forecast and manage project budgets.
• Ensure quality processes and delivery across projects and teams.
• Take overall responsibility for project programme.
• Manage project deliverables in line with System Standards; liaise with Directors, Site Manager and contractors.
• Lead the project team to achieve the best possible performance.

The Role

• Senior Project Manager joining a well established team delivering high quality projects across Queensland, with your first project being a Brisbane defence new build.
• You will forecast and manage project budgets
• Ensure quality process and delivery across all of your projects and project teams
• Overall responsibility for project programme
• Manage project deliverable in line with System Standards. Liaise with the Directors, Site Manager and contractors as required to satisfy system standards requirements.
• Lead the project team to achieve the best possible performance from all members.

Experience/Qualifications Required

• A stable track record in delivering of new builds within Australia, for the head contractor on projects up to $40m in value
• An ability to manage programme, schedule and sequence trades effectively
• Experience in utilising construction software such as Hammertech, Procore or similar
• A natural ability to drive the project forward all the while maintaining and developing relationships with subcontractors, consultants and clients alike.
• Australian citizenship is required due to the nature of the project portfolio and access requirements.
• Trade or Tertiary qualification in construction
