Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of complex HVAC and mission-critical infrastructure projects within the data centre sector in Australia.

You will own projects from contract award through engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and handover, working with customers, contractors and internal teams. This role requires 50% site engagement and strong leadership in safety, quality and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• PMP or equivalent certification highly regarded.
• Experience delivering complex HVAC/building services projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery for AHU, FWU, CDU, CRAC and Modular Data Centre solutions.
• Develop and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource strategies.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams including engineers, project controls, document controllers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor safety, quality, schedule, cost, risk, and customer satisfaction metrics.
• Take ownership of project financial performance, including P&L, forecasting, cash flow, and change management.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, consultants, and general contractors.
• Drive proactive risk identification and mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Lead successful project commissioning, close-out, and client handover activities.
• Spend approximately 50% of your time on project sites, ensuring successful execution and stakeholder engagement.
