Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Director for our Project Services Hub in Perth. You will lead complex projects, manage client relationships, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality outcomes.

You will bring a proven track record in construction, infrastructure or resources sectors, and demonstrate strong governance and leadership capabilities. This role supports flexible working arrangements within a leading engineering consultancy.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering large, complex projects (construction, infrastructure or resources).
• Strong understanding of project controls and governance.
• Membership with professional bodies encouraged (AIPM or Engineers Australia).
• Minimum of 10 years’ project management experience in relevant sectors.

Senior Project Manager/ Director - Project Services Hub

What you’ll do

As a Project Manager in our Project Services Hub team based in Perth, you’ll contribute to projects and programs that make a real difference and be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and engineer solutions with people and outcomes in mind.

• Join our Project Services Hub based in Perth, managing projects across diverse sectors.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted partner to ensure project success.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinating specialists and subconsultants to deliver high-impact results.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets and resource allocation.
• Manage change, quality, health, safety and risk elements throughout project lifecycles.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the growth and success of the business.

What you’ll bring

• Proven track record delivering large, complex projects, including construction stage experience.
• A sound understanding of project management principles, controls, and governance.
• Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, architecture, construction management or related fields.
• Prior consulting experience within Engineering or Project Management consultancies, Head Contractor, Construction Management or multinational advisory and delivery organisations is highly regarded.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, managing competing priorities effectively.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing teams to deliver high quality outcomes.
• Membership or certification with professional bodies such as AIPM or Engineers Australia is encouraged.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project management within construction, infrastructure, or resources sectors.
• For Defence projects you must be an Australian Citizen and eligible for security clearance as determined by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA). website https://www1.defence.gov.au/security/clearances.
