About the Role

As a Senior Production Engineer at Babcock, you will play a key leadership role within an integrated engineering team, guiding and developing your people while ensuring the timely and high‑quality delivery of engineering artefacts.

You will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Facilities Monitoring and Control (FMC) subsystem, ensuring it meets cost, schedule and technical requirements across the Enhanced Defence High Frequency Communications System and other related projects.

You will lead systems engineering activities including requirements management, subsystem integration, acceptance testing, certification and technical investigations.

Your work will support the design, delivery, sustainment and operational readiness of critical defence communication capabilities across Australia.

About You

Thriving in complex, multi‑domain environments, you’re confident in leading technical investigations, conducting risk assessments and guiding decision‑making across the product lifecycle.

A solid grasp of design, analysis, manufacturing and support processes—along with an appreciation for interfacing technologies—underpins your ability to deliver robust engineering outcomes.

Leadership comes naturally, demonstrated through your commitment to developing others, fostering knowledge sharing and building collaborative relationships across teams.

Managing engineering activities to time, cost and quality is second nature, and clear communication with internal and external stakeholders, including during formal reviews, is one of your strengths.
