Job summary

Colonial First State (CFS) is seeking a Product Leader for Employer Super to deliver FY27 growth initiatives and shape FY28 strategy. You will oversee end-to-end product lifecycle, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with technology, operations, marketing, compliance and distribution to create commercially viable solutions.

You will champion customer-centric design, leverage data to inform decisions, and engage stakeholders to align priorities while supporting governance and regulatory

Qualifications

  • Solid demonstrated experience in Product Management and/or Product Development in the Superannuation and Investment Industry.
  • Previous experience delivering large strategic projects in financial services.
  • Good understanding of the regulatory and competitive environment for investment products.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders including senior management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and sound judgment.
  • High attention to detail and proactive risk identification/ escalation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation through to launch and ongoing management.
  • Define and execute product strategy to meet customer needs and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to design viable, compliant solutions.
  • Ensure products comply with Australian regulatory frameworks (SIS Act, Corporations Act, APRA, ASIC).
  • Champion customer-centric design and use data to inform decisions.
  • Engage with stakeholders to align priorities and communicate progress.
  • Support product governance, including approvals, regulatory submissions and reviews.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and regulatory changes to stay relevant and competitive.

Your Team

The Employer Super team, within the CFS Superannuation and Investments business unit, is responsible for the product management, development and delivery of a superannuation product targeting employers and their employees.

This role is a 12-Month Maximum term contract.

Your Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this role is to lead the delivery of FY27 strategic growth initiatives and projects to support the Employer Super's FY27 strategy and roadmap and support creation of the FY28 Strategy and roadmap.

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and development through to launch and ongoing management
  • Define and execute the product strategy to ensure the solutions meets customer needs through research and delivers on CFS's strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technology, operations, marketing, compliance, and distribution) and external vendors to design commercially viable and compliant solutions
  • Ensure products comply with Australian regulatory frameworks, including SIS Act, Corporations Act, APRA and ASIC requirements
  • Champion customer-centric design and continuous improvement, using data and insights to inform decisions
  • Engage with stakeholders across the business to align priorities and communicate product vision and progress
  • Support product governance processes, including product approvals, regulatory submissions, and product reviews
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to ensure the proposed offer remains relevant and competitive

Your Capability and Experience

  • Solid demonstrated experience in Product Management and or Product Development in the Superannuation and Investment Industry
  • Previous experience in supporting the delivery of large strategic projects in a financial services environment
  • Good understanding of the regulatory and competitive environment in which CFS's investment products operate.
  • Demonstrated experience in building good working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and sound judgment.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proactively identifies, escalates and acts on identified risks.
  • Advocate and driver of optimal outcomes the customer.
  • Good time management, personal organisation and planning skills.
